Kayla Hani

Title: Compulsory Head Coach

Kayla was born in Oviedo, FL and lived there until she graduated high school. She started gymnastics when she was 18 months old because she was born pigeon-toed and had surgery on her hips and ankles. The doctor recommended to do gymnastics as therapy for 6 weeks. Kayla loved it and quickly knew gymnastics was the sport for her. Kayla trained at Orlando Metro Gymnastics for 12 years. She was a 3 time member of the TOPs national team, member of the 2003 junior national team, and qualified for the US Championships at the age of 12. Kayla competed level 10 for 6 years before she got a full scholarship to Ball State University. Kayla competed division I gymnastics. After Kayla graduated from college in 2014 with a major in Sport administration and minor in marketing, Ball State University hired Kayla to be the assistant coach for their gymnastics program. In 2015, she moved to Georgia to be a volunteer coach at The University of Georgia and was also the head optional coach at GGA for 2 years where she coached level 6-10. Kayla had also been coaching on the side since she was 14 years old. Kayla has coached every level of gymnastics from the beginners to level 10’s and elites as well as Division 1 college gymnastics. Kayla coached at Flip Fest Summer Gymnastics camp for 2 summers. Kayla enjoys coaching and strives to have every child reach their goals and perform to the best of their ability. When she is not coaching, Kayla enjoys going home to Florida and going to the beach and spending time with her family.
